How to Delete Application Scopes

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for Azure application owners to delete unnecessary or outdated application scopes using Resource Admin. Deleting unused scopes helps streamline application management and maintain security.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Resource Admin portal.
  • Permission to manage the relevant Azure application.

Steps to Delete Application Scopes

1. Log in to Resource Admin

  1. Open the Resource Admin portal.
  2. Enter your credentials and log in.

2. Navigate to Applications

  1. From the Resource Type menu, select Applications.
  2. Search for the Azure application you want to manage.

3. Access the Application Overview

  1. Click the Friendly Name link for the desired application.
  2. You will be directed to the Overview page for the application.

4. Delete a Scope

  1. On the Overview page, click Scopes.
  2. Locate the record for the scope you want to delete.
  3. Click the Delete button next to the scope.

5. Confirm Deletion

  1. When prompted, click Delete to confirm.
  2. The scope will be permanently removed.
